Blox Fables is an AU for Roblox. We are intending to make this an eventual game, once taking lots of inspiration from Paper Mario games, specifically Bug Fables (hence the name). However games take a lot of time, and I don't have enough game-dev experience to make a full-fleged RPG by myself, so here's the midground!
Originally, this was gonna be a Paper Mario styed RPG, but for now we are settling on a Mixed Media style of storytelling. Specifically the way this will be told will be inspired by a crap load of things. Welcome Home, 17776, and The Property of Hate are the biggest ones. The best way I could describe this project currently would be 60% writing, 30% comics, and 10% ARG bullshit.
A whole lotta elements of this story take heavy inspiration from the Roblox website itself, the people who do/have worked on it, the lore, and the old culture. I grew up on this game, this is my way of thanking it. While some characters share names and appearances to those on the site, they are now intended to be actual representations of the actual person, but rather characters inspired by the avatar designs and their creations. Everything else is just imagination lol.
The website itself is inspired by others! Petal Prayer, The Property of Hate, and Welcome Home are the biggest inspirations. Show some love to those sites!
